ARTISTIC MILLINERS' NEW FACILITY, ARTMILL.

The opening of Artmill, a new venture under the Artistic Milliners portfolio, signifies the next echelon of innovation and technological advancement toward the creation of new products and categories beyond denim.

Headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan, Artmill will leverage decades of its parent company’s operational expertise and investments in advanced machinery and apply an innovative approach to design and manufacturing.

The new mill is the result of a period of strategic exploration into consumer trends and leading-edge technology in woven fabrics. As customers increasingly look to invest in clothing that is multidimensional and can work across a variety of occasions, Artmill’s vision is to pave the way for the future of casual apparel via a diverse range of hybrid products that are versatile and performance-driven.

PERFORMANCE AND COMFORT WILL BE AT THE FOREFRONT OF ALL ARTMILL CLOTHING.

“In the past few years, the expectation for comfort, performance and aesthetic–all in a single item–has steadily risen. Artmill is ready to put horsepower behind the development of clothing that meets this moment,” said Omer Ahmed, chief executive officer of Artistic Milliners and Artmill.

Artmill can offer retailers, manufacturers and brands turnkey solutions for their casualwear programs or tailor custom offerings for startup and premium labels. Legacy techniques coupled with cutting-edge technology, automation and machine learning will enable Artmill to transform raw materials into fabrics that add form and function to innovative designs.

Murtaza Ahmed, Artistic Milliners’ managing director said, “With a focus on innovation, circularity and collaborative partnerships with our customers, we will champion the future of textiles, cross-pollinate and create hybrid products that truly achieve what consumers want from apparel today.”

ARTMILL WILL UTILIZE CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY, AUTOMATION AND MACHINE LEARNING TO CREATE INNOVATIVE DESIGNS WITH FORM AND FUNCTION.

With a strong focus on renewable energy, water and chemical recycling techniques, Artmill will be the first LEED Platinum Certified piece-dye mill in the region. The facility will have an annual production capacity of 25 million meters and a vertical capacity of 6 million garments, with a focus on premium creations for strategic and upmarket clientele. The mill will offer VAT, reactive disperse dyeing alongside cutting-edge chemical and mechanical finishes.

The Artistic Milliners ecosystem is the conglomerate of the future and strives for excellence in every facet of its vertical operation. This expanding suite of solutions began with Star Fades International (SFI), a Los Angeles-based facility. SFI provides custom wash and finishing services to a customer line-up that ranges from large international retailers to niche luxury labels. Artistic Milliners’ global footprint also includes Artistic Energy, Artistic Lab and Soho Incubator in New York. Artmill is the latest milestone in the rapidly growing Artistic Milliners ecosystem. It is the convergence of the heritage behind Artistic Milliners and the innovative advancements that will direct the organization’s way forward.
